Best Chance Network: las mujeres pueden calificar para realizarse exámenes de detección del cáncer sin costo
Under separate grant funding resources through the Best Chance Network (BCN), the following free screenings are available:
- Clinical breast exam
- Pelvic exam
- Pap smear
- Human papillomavirus (HPV) tests
- Mammogram
- Diagnostic testing if results are abnormal.
- Referrals to treatment
To qualify you must:
- Be a S.C. resident
- 21 to 64-years old (cervical cancer screening)
- 30 – 64 years old (breast cancer screenings)
- Women younger than 40 who may have breast or cervical cancer symptoms may be screened if funding available
- Women with high family risk of breast or cervical cancer may be screened if funding available
- Meet certain income guidelines (at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level).
- Have no health insurance OR
- Have high-deductible health insurance (> $1,000) AND/OR
- diagnostic insurance coverage less than 100% OR
- hospitalization coverage only.
These screening are unrelated to our other programs and must be applied for separately.
